About Us

“…rewrite the narrative of Black Motherhood.”

Our History

Matrescence was born from the passionate foundation of our Executive Director’s experience as a Birthworker. Founded under the support of the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, Matrescence operates as a vibrant force connecting the black community.

With Matrescence, we aim to give mothers access to the care, community and support they deserve.
